CUSTOMISED SOFTWARE
Our specialities are solutions in the:-[1]Access Control,[2] Safety,[3] Identification Management,[4] Asset Control and [5]Time Management Environments.
Our experience has taught us that in order to win a large contract in these environments, it often necessary to deliver a component which is customised to that client. No matter how small this customised component, it is the key to wining the business. Here is a small sample of some of these customised components.
Access Control

Multi Brand Phaseover:
Our ability to communicate with many different readers and hardware brands on the market allows you to phase in your new brand of reader area by area, whilst still maintaining the older system in tact. This can be done at a system, engine, database or reader level. This is even more important when the client does not have the budget to do a full change out in a single financial year. This allows a seamless changeover of systems and is often the main key to the deal.

HR Integration / access or TA as secondary system
In line with current day system architecture, Master records (eg employee details) are kept and updated in only one system. Other systems are secondary and must integrate to this primary source of master data. In many cases, the Payroll or HR system is the master repository of key employee information. We have in a many cases been requested to provide this integration. Above all, should an employee have resigned or have been dismissed, the entry in the HR system will automatically deny the employee into the access controlled areas.

Common Sources of Data Integration
•SAP / other ERP systems •Mainframe systems •Oracle or MSSQL based systems •HR or Payroll systems •Financial systems •ID Card systems •Other access control / Time Mgt systems
Data Migration
Any new access system normally has the key data stored in one or more legacy or 3rd party systems. We have over the years developed a multitude of tools together this data from various sources to import into various of our database formats for efficient implementation.
•Assets on site / Linked to Employees
The logic to associate and control assets associated with employees is not often found in access control systems. This may have a Security or a Safety implication.
Some examples of our solutions include: 1.Laptops associated with valid owners / employees
2. Appropriately licensed drivers for specialised vehicles
3.Underground Safety equipment :
Quick verification of QA checks, as well as proof of personnel adherence to safety policy(eg – no access underground without RFID read of a valid dated & tested safety pack)
•Specialised reporting – Our expertise lies in the region of unique identifiers, master configurations, as well as masses of transaction data. Our reporting engines are often expanded and modified to allow for client specific requirements. Our existing tools can ensure that you have a smooth and reliable path to the data that you are looking for.
•Labour (Job) Costing – Job costing is a specialised field. Our Time management Add On modules enable you to slice and dice the worked hours into time per job. This enables us to integrate into ERP or job costing systems providing them with live on line times or costs of labour per job.
•Unmanned Weighbridge Control – ERP Extensions
ERP systems do not traditionally have the capability to understand and control field hardware devices. An example of our work is control of all of the devices required for an unmanned weighbridge environment, using a single field controller, responding to and reporting back to directly to the ERP application via a TCPIP connection.

•Safety access Management (Certificates) Health and Safety legislation:
The increasing demands of Health and Safety legislation requires increasing control of staff and contractors as to where they are allowed to go and what they are allowed to do! Our systems include individual certification by discipline by area, with separate expiry date per certificate. Examples include those for Medicals, Induction or more area specific licences or qualifications. These requirements are found mostly in Heavy Industry, Oil refining and Mining.
•Contractor Management
Our enterprise suite includes a full package of Contractor access, Safety and Time management. Contractors are often treated separately outside of the ERP system, and their hours worked are often required for safety reporting or payment. Other controls limiting or managing contractor assets or vehicles on site are also a feature of the system.
•Time Management Customisation
Those involved in the Enterprise Time Management market will know that no matter how complex or parameter driver you software is, there is always a client that requires something special. We have been most successful in this area due to our skilled and experienced development teams. Our XTime900 system incorporates highly efficient design and structure in order to accommodate client specific add-on s or customisation.
•Reader Firmware – Custom Environments
End user requirements are often one different to one’s offering and, in a number of cases, our ability to modify reader firmware has enabled our resellers to clinch projects which they would nevertheless have had to decline.
Examples include: 1.Firmware amended to communicate via PLC’s instead of controllers or PC’s 2.Firmware amended to read via third party controllers 3.Firmware amended to interpret tag data received differently to comply with legacy system standards
Our Control over the Database, Application Engines, User Front end, Controller design and firmware, as well as various Reader design and firmware enables us to fit almost any reasonable specification. Our philosophy to first use best of breed components, and thereafter customise enables us to offer world class solutions to your clients in the fields of:
•Access Control, •Safety access Management •Identification Management, •Asset Control and tracking, and •Time Management.
